Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Citrix is organizationally paralyzed right now!!!!!

It's incredibly quiet around me - it certainly feels like a big one is coming for all of us at Citrix. The execs and VPs cannot be found, if you have an email thread with them, you noticed that they are not responding.

Not sue why, it almost feels like we are organizationally paralyzed and everyone is waiting for something to happen. I think that at this point in time people want to see what will transpire.

Who will be around, and who will be walked out. Once we know this, we can figure out who to engage and how. At this point in time, every engagement with folks inside risks that the person on the other side is slated for layoffs and all your effort may be going down the drain.

So, I think folks are just waiting - this is why your calls are not being answered, your emails never get responses.

I got five emails today. My average is ~100. My final email today was a meeting invite for tomorrow morning.

HQ is all work as usual even though we all know what is happening. All levels of management are visible and responsive, everyone is working. That being said, we all know that HQ is getting hit hard tomorrow. HR has rooms on all floors in all buildings across campus from 8:30am to 4pm. :-/

So true

Today, had it not been for layoffs dot com nobody would know

At least they had the decency of pre-announcing it last time.

Received no emails, replies or any meeting invites today. Even during the existing meetings there was a somber tone as if everyone was sensing something is about to happen so no one is volunteering to take on any tasks or action items.

the company seems to be paralyzed regardless of whatever is going to happen

Maybe it'll be massive? To the point that VPs lost all words?

Or, maybe it'll hit upper echelons much harder that it did two years ago? Maybe they know they are gone too...

I cannot remember the last time I had less than 10 emails on a standard working day. Too quiet. Way too quiet.

OP - not making any moves is the only thing that makes sense today. This will remain so until all boxes have been distributed.
