Pay Leveling

When will the “new” job architecture framework and pay leveling, effective in Q3, be distributed?

Forced pay levelling is illegal under Australian industrial relations legislation. As for DXC folk in other countries - you are screwed.

If I see any drop, that will be the final straw.

I've not heard anything about this but in HPE days, the annual review of pay against industry standards would just mean they compare the salary/grade bands to industry averages and increase them but not change people's salaries. So as the years went by people moved down through the 5 bands/in a grade until many were below the pay bands for their grade.

So if you hear any HR parasite talking about industry standards its got nothing to do with your salary.

Pay leveling WTF are you talking about, they better not be reducing my pay anymore than they have already by having me pay for my internet service, my phone, no pay raises in years, Health Insurance going up, working more hours than I should be

I believe there is a movement by DXC management to get experienced people to leave voluntarily through moves such as the elimination of vacations, 401K match reductions, and if true pay leveling. DXC's ultimate goal is a workforce that consists primarily of 20-somethings who will work for dirt cheap.

You can expect offer letters of your new salary. If you decline you will be considered resigning.

That is my speculation.

It's cute that you think they'll raise anybody's pay to "industry standard". Pay leveling sounds like a plan for DXC - reduce across the board. HP provided the blueprint under Hurd when they enforced paycuts across the board. Those on US government contracts will probably be protected, as the last time, but I wouldn't count on it these days with this administration. In those few places where they can't do it legally (like the EU), they'll simply continue to reduce the workforce.

Good luck.

People managers being moved to IC makes sense.

Levelling would incur a legal sh-- storm if they proposed this in Europe, also even if it was true, pay levelling works both ways. It’s not just high earners dropping, it’s low earners getting a raise.

Given the fact that it would cost them millions in legal fees and having to increase salaries for 90% off the staff to make them in line with the few people who earn industry standard that remain in DXC I think it’s total and utter b---s--- this would happen.

I have heard of people managers being moved to individual contributors.

I heard about it earlier along with the rise in health insurance. So probably not just pipe dreams.
