I agree with OP. Currently I work in nand team in Folsom. I hardly work 2 hours per day. Manager strictly enforces that no work after 5 as he leaves at 4:45 and definitely no work during weekends.
Do not work in TMG. You can always invest in stocks/growth mutual funds that hold nvda/apple.
Yup, Intel is GPTW. Great compensation, get to travel international a lot on business class, stay nice hotels, party, drinking. Life is good at IT and MIT. There never seem shortage of travel budget :-)
Ask the guys in TMG working on10 and 7nm how is work and life and balance
The only reason they don’t go to Taiwan or China is because family, not life balance and the fact nothing for them in US
