Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Buying shares of Windstream stock is as cheap as a lottery ticket

... except with a lottery ticket you have a chance at winning something.

Any Windstream employee that keeps company stock in their 401K is crazy first they force it on you with the match then they charge you three cents a share to sell it then they make an announcement that they're not paying anymore dividends so the share plumets to two dollars a share there goes your retirement .

(2) Weeks in a row, I have played the Power Ball for $9 dollars, (2) weeks in a row I have won $12 dollars. Better return then Wind Stock! .75% return, I'll take it any day!

If you really want to band together and make your voice heard, how about log into your Merrill Lynch account now and sell any shares of stock that you have. Take the loss, it's ok. Stop having deductions taken out of your check to fund the think tank that selects who gets laid off. Let Tony and the board know that you don't appreciate your stock going from $8 to under $2 AND you probably get to go home with a nice box full of all the things you worked years for. What are you waiting for? This is the only part of Windstream's corporate slide where your voice is going to be heard and taken notice of. This is the only vote you will get in this process. Your other suggestions to your managers don't matter because they are powerless puppets too. The top 1% at Windstream will be just fine. The other 99% will have to work it out for themselves.
