Thread regarding Change Healthcare layoffs

Layoffs should have been handled better

When the layoffs happened in our office in May, they called people into the office and they listened to a conference call and were therefore informed that they were let go. They were not allowed to return to their work areas and their belongings were packed up by people who didn't even know them into copy paper boxes. Their belongings were given to them on their way out (and they didn't even pack up ALL of it). We just kept watching as carts and carts of empty white boxes went by while we were all terrified that one of them was for us. Then there were many meetings that day between bosses. Now every time I see people get called into the office or them call an impromptu meeting, I get really stressed wondering if I'm next. It's insane.

I am really sorry for what you are going through, @Phta3lz-bzfm. There are no good ways to handle layoffs, but there are certainly many, many better than that. It's like they take joy in removing last shred of dignity from people who are being let go. Not good, Change, not good...

What were the severance packages like? McKesson always gave a fair package, but I hadn't heard anything regarding Change Healthcare.
