I was laid off from BPQM as well. I was one of the many top performers in that department. I really wish I would've known about this website months ago. I would've put in more effort in either moving to another department or leaving the company all together.

I just wanted everyone to know that it will get better and I that I hope they find the position they wish for

one thing I was told today. Was most jobs in listed will only hire internal candidates. We lose

that status after 10/10. So if we don't get hired in lessens our chances to get a job in UHG. Not fair!

In the same boat....laid off from BPQM quality department after 10 years at the company. They lost a lot of talented people with this.....reassigning people to other roles atleast retains the talent. Some poor decisions were made here if you ask me.

Don't give up all hope. When I first came here I was advised that the best way to move up in the company was to leave and come back from the outside. I've seen many many people RIF'd and come back at higher grades. Some 2 times.

It hurts now but don't give up hope.

This is terrible. I'm part of bpqm and I'm really scared about my future.

I have heard it was at least 500 people. It was not only M & R as a previous comment suggested. I am, was, with employer and individual, and myself along with multiple others were let go.

I was also in BPQM Quality. No warnings, no option to move to another department.. I gave them 17 yrs of my life, never saying no to overtime. Not enjoying holidays since open enrollment fell during nov-dec. at a loss for words..

I was in the ATA team under Lisa Boyd and reassigned. My understanding is that only M&R folks were let go. All reporting under David Roberts and Tania Trotta were also let go. Sad week for everyone.

The entire audit the auditor team in BPQM was let go, along with the supervisor and manager yesterday. So devastated. Worried how I'm going to feed my babies. Worked there 11 years.

I was let go yesterday too after 11 years. I’m part of bpqm also. I’m devastated. I’m a former Service Hero. There was no notice or even slight inclination this would be happening. I also have not received my package nor any invites for these meetings they said I would get. HR direct had no information at all. I’m lost and confused.

I am one of the BPQM lay offs. I thought this was sad and funny. I got a message for HR direct I could attend a benefit meeting today. It was after the meeting was done. The next meeting they said was at 11-12am on friday.

BPQM shot it's foot off. This impacted multiple areas. When you get new upper management with a reorg, it's always a disaster. I love the buzzword of "financial stewardship".

I was in BPQM reporting up under Bethany.

The effective date of my layoff is my 10 year anniversary coincidentally.

Our VP, and Middle Mgmt down excluding our director, as well as Auditors were let go yesterday, leaving a skeleton crew with no leadership, or work as there is no one to distribute it.

Of course this does not impact our off-shore employees.

We could sense something wasn't right due to priorities being shifted, etc- but it was still a surprise, but a relief at least in my instance.

Laying off quality right before Open Enrollment - UHC customers will be thrilled when none of their benefits pay correctly.

Quality positions across the board. My understanding was for every year worked was a week severance from what I am hearing that is not what is being paid out. I have been asking about layoff lately and each time advised no. So disapointing. Yet keeping offshore staff disgusting if you ask me. American companies should be penalized for giving our jobs offshore

I am impacted. At least 500 that I know of, all within quality reporting up to Bethany Slojab and Brian Brueckman

Severance is based on grade level and years with company, its listed on hr site. Not sure if anything above and beyond that is being added, like any health ins, but I'd guess not. Also any outstanding PTO balance is listed on how it's paid out on hr site.

I was just notified also. Only been here since January. I think I am done with a healthcare company. Sounds like they are trying to keep this hush-hush. Will not be sending out a global notification of any type is what I am hearing.

I'm under Brian Brueckman /Daniel Schumacher in UHC Benefit Ops
