The new Policy is as of Sept. 29th, that after troubleshooting; modems and routers are to only be swapped, shipped or exchanged at the optimum store.
From someone in TSG, how many times do I see a customer go to the Store to pickup a "new" router cause someone says the D-Link or Sagemcom 5620 is "old" needs updating. They call up cause nobody mentions they get a new SSID and its the same model they get back.
I just went to the nearest Optium store as a paying sub and exchanged my faulty router for a new one with no problem rather than wait for a tech...
