I hate the layoffs. But what I hate even more is people saying it is race related. I guarantee you the layoffs were not all african americans. OMG. Grow a pair, people. The company has zero chance of survival if they only layoff whites. Everything is NOT about race. I'm sick of hearing it.
Windstream was a house of cards. Pete Connoy used corporate card for h--kers and bar tab. Dig deep Windstream! They will be leaving their Fairport office in 2017. Time to get out if you can. I was let go in 2014 after saving their asses on the Midtown project.
I sued them in 2012 when I got laid off. Not because I'm Black but because they never paid me for overtime. I got that money and I still got my package. And yes, I signed their stupid agreement; however, my attorney made sure that I got my package as well.
What a sweet deal - lawsuit money and my package when I was booted out the door.
Of course, some idiot will play the race card. Plenty of white people got the axe too. Stupid lawsuit that will go nowhere.
If you don't sign their agreement, which in turn prohibits you from suing, you won't get your package.
Okay, well, not African American still let go up here in NEast so number 1 is no good for me. As far as number 2, I want my severance and all things windstream gone from my life. Will take money and never look back but understand those who fight.
