Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Called in for "training"!!!

Called in for "training" then got booted. This is how a Fortune 500 operates. The new normal. WS will not say how many were let go, because they aren't done yet. They probably need to look at the "C" level group to get replaced. There is no one at the helm to navigate out of the path of the iceberg.

I hate the way they let some people go, escort them out the door and don't let them even get their belongings from the desk. One guy had worked there 28 years told him they would box up his belongings for him. That seems so humiliating on top of already being laid off.

However, I seen other managers handle it in a dignified manner as possible.

I have been with a few companies, but have never seen anything like this I expect lay offs every quarter now. I feel Windstream will keep cutting until they start have extended outages, then maybe they will refill some of the critical positions. They can't seem the verify the importance now, but when Networks go so long without maintenance things will eventually happen; Generators not run, Switch Maintenance not performed,

Batteries not checked. Just a matter of time before Murphy rears it's ugly head.
