First huge lay off in January includes some significant DH employees, second one in February to fine tune working stream. They implement American first policy, means they let go H1B visa holders first before touching any Americans. Law suit will take its own course if they fired American. BCG planned the restructure? Anybody knows.

How may people in DH? HPE is rumored to let go 5000, 10% of work force.
80% of these posts are from DH guys, that hardly make any money for the compnay. From these posts, it sounds like same person posting multiple thread with his red cap on. If H1b wont replace you, fresh graduate will. Keep learning new stuff and looking for job rather whining here all time.
Yeah it's true. So many H1B greenies leave using Seagate like a fool. Seagate is run by complete f---ing idiots. That's all.
Are you kidding. Seagate seems to be doubling down on H1B hires and outsourcing work to foreign contractors. If your prediction happens, it would be a 180 reversal.
Seagate will stop processing green card for all from January. They process only certain people above director level, with slow category. H1b slaves leave the company after getting green card, that's why.
When Seagate bought Maxtor something good happened.
Maxtor submitted green card application for all H1B employees!!
In Dec the aquisition was anounced.
In May green-card application filed in my case.
In Mid July I waslay-off by Seagate.
1 August green-card approved for my family. Otherwise I would have needed to leave within 30 days if not finding a new position.
I hope Seagate can take car of its H1B employees by submitting green-card application (Express).
