We have no direction in this company. Poor leadership. The CEO posts an article bragging about his family trip to the French Alps, then two weeks later destroys the lives of many families. What a great leader. SMH. Every time you blink a new VP of some kind is announced. How do we get in on that VP cake walk?

WIndstream is going to sell off their ILEC and REIT to ATT and Windstream will then be just a an over the top CLEC provider. The REIT killed any value in Windstream stock as it pulled out all of the infrastructure and network and put it under a separate company. Direct TV is the bellwether. You can now see the ATT branded product on the Windstream website. It's coming. The ENT sales focus is on over the top solutions like SD WAN, Office Suite, UCaaS/CCaaS, and professional services. The Network has become a secondary play. Tony Thomas will be ousted before the end of 2018. I once heard him say that he wanted Windstream to be bigger than ATT, now he will say if ya can't beat 'em,, join 'em.
Yes, I was ticked about that annual Alps trip he takes with his family. That had no place on the intranet front page. Pathetic.
This company is under a complete transformation. It's not hard to look around and see which positions are in jeopardy as a result.
Clearly you are not a rank and file employee if you rationalizethat his Alps Trip blog. Who cares about another expensive trip paid for by my labor? There are a lot of very good hard-working people suffering because of bad decisions made by the entitled few.
The CEOs epiphany while on his family trip to the Alps was since the drivers there drive so much faster than Americans maybe the Windstream employees should work faster.
These layoffs are getting ridiculous.....it is time to can the execs. The CEO enjoys a hefty $1MIL per year base salary while they play russian roulette with our jobs. We now have CLEC execs in charge of decisions that affect ILEC and it does not work.....they operate the same. I swear WIN is driven to driving our company into an early grave.
