Thread regarding Toys "R" Us layoffs

Bankruptcy has been filed, now what?

This is a truly scary time for all of us working at Toys "R" Us. Bankruptcy might not mean the end for the company, but it will certainly mean the end for a big number of stores and layoffs for employees. I just wonder when will we know what stays and what goes. I am not looking forward to what's to come, that's for sure. Good luck all!

The TRU bankruptcy has caused vendors to restrict the amount of goods they ship to TRU due to lower customer demand for the upcoming holiday shopping period. Many consumers will look elsewhere to shop this year because of the uncertainty of TRU surviving there financial woes. It's going to be a bad "season" for TRU...and then many store closures will follow in early 2018. Mismanagement and poor leadership at the top has caused this for all of its dedicated employees and customers. Don't wait to find another job (or career).

Be prepared. I was told by multiple managers through the years we are only numbers. I should of left EVERY time I was told that because NO ONE should be told that, especially told by your managers, who we are supposed to respect and work for, because they are numbers too. Your life can change abruptly, secrets will be held, to save themselves, lies will be told & you will no longer be a number to them, just to unemployment.
