I wouldn't get too excited. US shale will start making more as soon as prices go up.
Oil is starting to go up, $60 not far from here, another 20% upside. Making a leave wouldn't make sense now. Oil will be going up to $70 after Trump leaves the office. Carbon emissions in US are huge and poses a lot of environmental issues
Socialist government taxes is cause for companies leaving Canada. Employee reductions (layoffs) is due to economic environment that has been created.
If anything total is smart. You don't spend money where it doesn't make you money.
