Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Get extra margins through ultimatums, what could go wrong?

This would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

The procurement team at DXC Technologies might consider giving courses on how not to win friends or influence people after sending suppliers an ultimatum: cough better financial terms or else.

They have already tried this in Q1. In Q1 they didn't pay ANY supplier. None. Zero Zip.

Then they called them up and said "can we have a discount because we are like this HUGE company now"..and were told to f*** off by the suppliers.

This is phase 2.

there is no gravy in this company (DXC), the management is trying to take away any gravy that the suppliers might possess. rumor is that toilet rolls are going to be rationed, meaning that only every third toilet will have toilet paper available. also 1 in 3 toilets might not have water available for washing, so it would be better to check before you use one.

It's the wrong time to pull a stunt like this.

Hell, they're only 5 months in as a new company and have not demonstrated that this is a gravy train worth jumping on.

There are a few suppliers who are still chasing their quarterly bills that haven't been paid by DXC, likely because of poor procurement (and non-existent supplier management) processes or DXC's incompetence. So why they would now see fit to reduce their costs further to a debtor, is very optimistic.

DXC is trying to pull a Walmart and bully suppliers for better terms. The problem is DXC doesn't the power, market presence, or name recognition to get suppliers to bend to their will.

Siegel+Gale already reduced the colour in DXC's branding and videos. If they are forced to remove the remaining white, then DXC will disappear!

Sell them cheap fakes from China. Give them huge discounts for fake products. Imagine Mikey using fake toilet paper after drinking fake coffee on Mondays. Hilarious isn't it.

Things must be bad if they are tying to save a few quid on bog rolls, kitchen towels and pens! Wonder when the free ersatz coffee will go?

If I'm one of the supplier, I will write them back telling them from now on, no more credit terms. All orders must be paid in full in advance before dxc can get it.

DXC needs top management from Uber or Zenefits, both did well on the partying front and benefits. Even condoms were made available to employees so that they dont make each other pregnant. They would procure goods from suppliers at rock bottom rates.
