I was let go four days ago, I was a CLEC Network Tech in Florida
There were a good bit of layoffs in the Charlotte location today. I also know of at least a few let go in Greenville as well.
No layoffs here - all of this is shady, seems like fake news to me. Dont trust unconfirmed reports of layoffs.

I have a team meeting later today about it. I think we all know by now what is happening. I mean this literally happens every 2 or 3 months.

A Sales Engineer I know was let go out of Atlanta, also two sales people in Atlanta. It sounds like it is not done yet...
They layoffs started this AM and they're still going.
It's only VP and regional management here so far.. expecting another round below that but that's a guess and I don't know when.
TNOC manager in Evansville let go this morning. No word of others affected as of yet.
I know that an Operations manager in the northeast and 2 of his guys were laid off. Also a test and turn up manager.

I am not aware of anything specific yet, but i do have a friend who is a manager in a small group at my church include it as a prayer request for the people who will be let go

my team works in one little corner on the first floor. We don't see and hear much until it happens. We handle credit for new, and existing, customers. I am a little in the dark about this. Can someone tell me what departments are going through this? I love Windstream, but these layoffs are so stressful. Keep your political thoughts and personalized ideologies about our company away from this question. We all have different political thoughts it seems, but I just want an answer to a honest question.

Complete and total troll. ZERO details. If you're following this website, please take 99% of what these people say with a grain of salt. There are people here who have never never worked for your company. They just enjoy getting people worked up over nothing. They do it for any company they can find here that has activity. It sounds like your company probably does have another layoff coming just by the AMOUNT of comments, but don't listen to the people that pretend to know more than anyone else. They're poor excuses for human beings that are only here to start crap. Or they're a former employee who got let go and they're just trying to lash out.

I heard back in August there would be 1500 total, with three rounds. We know the first round was in August, making this the second and November the third. With the recent announcement of Cloud and Connectivity, I would not be surprised if the number of employees being laid off has increased. Seems as thought the brought us all together just so they'd be able to get rid of us.
The 1500 sounds like a real number. It's just wait and see who they cut to get to that number
