minimum senior manager but depending on your gender and how many people you already know, you can be a senior director. Main responsibilities: 80% doing approvals, 10% exercising power to get back at folks that annoys you. 10% decision making based on will this make me look good and help me get promoted.

that's why they are yes man and uses the individual contributors to rock the boat and when it is done wrong just fire or transfer out the individual contributor.
It's not their fault.. This has come from 12 years experience. Any manager who rocks the boat and doesn't agree with the doctrine that comes out of the U.S head shed gets moved on. They have a sh-- job.. One that is to deliver bad news that makes no sense.... I actually feel bad for them sometimes lol..
