Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

9/22 next layoff wave

A manager I know was given the heads up that they themselves are being WFRed 9/22, along with some rank and file staff, of which there are only like 5 left that are US based.

Have they again changed the WFR MO? I thought it was that those getting WFR'd (CSC) or RIF'd (HPE) were notified on Thursday and out the door on Friday?

USPS HAS been WFRing people, just not in big masses. But they are not carrying a bench so if you come off your project and they cannot find a spot for you right away, you are gone. Also a lot of the open reqs for jobs are location based, so even though they are hiring not all the jobs are for their centers, but at customer sites. I certainly would not be willing to move for them as do not trust them.

They still want cheap labor which is why they cannot find people I am guessing because if you have a clearance and a desired technical skill why come to DXC unless desperate? I know I would not tell anyone to come here even for the bonus they would give me!!

Any word if USPS is going to be affected? Management says they can't find enough people to fill positions, so any layoffs would be puzzling.

@Pikkk9X-2jse, I don't want to name the division just in case it would screw the manager out of any severence, because the manager gave the staff that are being targeted on 9/22 a heads up as well. They have zero f's to give at this point I bet. I can say they are all technical and US based.

why keep DXCs secrets for them? blow their cover and name the departments so employees have a head start on finding another job.

I heard about this date also from someone who had been scheduled for a RIF. However, they are doing a KT to coincide with the 9/22 date "hand-off" of their position.

@Pikkk9X-1koh - But the bananas wouldn't cost tens of millions per year, though.

That's Mikey's "leadership". You replace him with a monkey. No difference except you need a lot of bananas to feed the monkey.

Layoffs are happening since April 2017 and will keep happening in the near future. Especially if you are non-technical there is no future in DXC.

Layoffs at a consistent pace until FY 19. Run for the hills !. Better still go get an opportunity elsewhere, leave on your own terms if that suits.
