Are students really getting loan forgiveness for attending for profit schools?

Every state in the Union has what are called Lemon Laws. Lemon laws are American state laws that provide a remedy for purchasers of cars and other consumer goods in order to compensate for products that repeatedly fail to meet standards of quality and performance.
Now cars are important but the education of our citizens is far more important in the 21st century so reimbursement for education that fails 'to meet standards of quality and performance' is a reasonable expectation. If the failure can be proven the remedy should also exist.
This is the American way.

The current generation is the only one that has been allowed to be screwed over by Wallstreet, screwed over because education is now treated as a financially dangerous, risky commodity. You personal experience has nothing to do with it, other than the fact that you were a member of the generation that allowed this evil to be perpetrated on future generations.
So what I say to you is take responsibility for YOUR own life which means taking a hard look in the mirror. Do not tell others not to take responsibility for theirs when they are brave enough to take a stand when their back is up against the wall. Standing up to the system that has victimized you is the utmost of responsibility. No person should have to choose between feeding their children or paying the corrupt loan companies because a corrupt school sold them a bad degree.
We are no longer going to take the raw deal that you and your generation have handed down to us. Look in the mirror and see who you are defending, understand that they are the cause and by defending them you are the enemy of the education system's future. Seriously, believe us when we say that we hate you and all that you stand for.
Geez ex effed students, forget about the fraud settlement with the DOJ, forget about the almost non-existant graduation and retention rates, disregard the relentless trolling for anything breathing to fund the single source or revenue loan mill, screw all past and present investors and taxpayers and take responsibility for your actions just like president cheeto who has gone bankrupt six times and has never taken responsibility for a bloody thing his entire life.
Oh, yeah, and stop being a santimonious equivacator and tell the students they're in the process of being sold down the river to people with, once again, no experience in post-secondary education.
Go ahead and tell them. But I know you don't because that would interfere with "the numbers and blow the lid off the grift.

geez. take responsibility for your education, debts and life choices. The college is suppose to do anything for you other then teach? if you didnt like the program go somehere else. so much entitlement. when I went to school they didn't have career services, I paid my tuition and got the degree. the rest was up to me in a crashed economy. trickle down economics never trickled down for long time but I didn't hold my university to blame. no one owes you anything.
We're talking about a multi-trillion dollar bubble here.
And it was created to prop up schools, at least for a while.
It's over now, and whether loans are forgiven or not, they aren't being given out like they were.
That's the REAL reason you are seeing layoffs, and it will not get better, it will get much worse.
The only promises they heard were in their head. Where were their parents when they made the decision to pursue areas with limited jobs? They should have gone to a trade school if they wanted a job.
And they should get forgiveness. The students were taken advantage of. Promised the moon. Guaranteed jobs. For folks who felt hopeless and are now still in low paying jobs because they didn't improve their skills while pursuing their degree at the University of Phoenix. Sure, they passed their so called classes but it was real education. Just an expensive waste of time. I know several people who are still paying for their worthless scam studies at the University of Phoenix. I don't know how the recruiters can live with themselves.
Yes... little worms need to assume that debt. You signed for it... you own it.
