Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Low cost locations

So now that we've seen a significant uptick in jobs being sent to Poland and India, does anyone know what the average salary is in USD for these roles?

Are we talking a 2-3K discount or is it more considerable?

Because they care nothing about CEO, Boatd and shareholders

Stakeholders employees

Not so much

They're still in the 1980's mantra

"Greed is good"

So 20th century which is why

They are on the path of irrelevancy

Can you say digital

Wang

Woolworths

Need I continue?

Folks in Bangalore cost about $12-16K USD at the associate level.

When I see those numbers on paper it shocks me that state street only replaces one US fte with one fresh meat new hire in India.

Why not hire 2 for 1 and have them uip and running faster and earlier so there is less impact to our clients.

What about the displaced workers that lose their jobs to these other locations? Just ask anyone that has lost a job recently and not just former State Street employees. The sad truth is that many who lose their jobs for whatever the reason are earning 65% - 70% of what they used to earn. It isn't easy to try to survive on a 30 - 35% salary cut at anytime in your life unless you really don't need the income.

The people in India are paid 35% to 40% less than the U.S counterpart.
