Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Think about this

For a long time, the two Intel crown jewels were servers (DCG) and mfg process (TMG). The two group presidents in charge of those divisions (DB and SS) have now quit, both under shady circumstances. Is there anyone who still thinks everything is fine and dandy at DCG and/or TMG? I predict huge layoffs across the board around focal time next year. Things are gonna get real interesting for those poor souls still trapped in the sinking ship. Have you started writing your self assessment and included enough bragging and exageration? Have you made sure to backstab your co-workers sufficiently so they appear less capable than you? Have you brown-nosed your manager and his/her manager and made sure you are part of the "in" crowd? If not, you better get to it as it's going to get really nasty. Hunger Games are afoot as there are not enough lifeboats for everybody.

The GMs, Directors, and VPs see no need to leave. They are all part of the very toxic Intel swamp. Why should they leave when they can just layoff a bunch of the hardworking employees who would accept any and all assignments to show their value and save their job? The Swamp are all working together to save their own necks, not to improve the company through introduction of good, quality products providing growth and expansion. When was the last time this happened at Intel? 30 years ago?

Despite OP's dogma, he/she is right - DB and SS have packed it in. Unexpectedly.

Nobody here can predict the next steps Intel will take, but I learned long ago to carefully watch two things - Insider Selling and Executive Departures. The latter has been going on for the last few years, in droves. Those smart or political enough to get to the top are gettin' out while the gettin' is good.

Let's not forget that longtime and esteemed TMG leader also well recognized in industry circles Bill Holt also chose to check out 😉

You tell me beyond internal B$ clawing to the top what the current TMG leaders claim to fame is?

Funny how ever since that point Bill retired the delays became public nothing good has come out of TMG 😂😂😂😂😂
