Just how many employees have seagate got worldwide? How many would need to be RIFed to keep seagate running so its a viable company.As a company it seems Seagate is behind other similar companies in new technology.

As you know, WD already closed a CDG division years ago. STX also don't need a R&D anymore. HAMR is useless thing.

close to 44000 with 33000 in Asia.
About a 15% cut in numbers then...
According to Google Finance and the Nasdaq we have approx 41,000 left after the cuts so far. Would need to trim this to about 35,000 to remain a viable company and keep the share holders happy with their above average dividends.
