The company just laid off lower (grade 4) & upper level (grade 12) leadership in stores (kept GM's) and are replacing them with all part time leaders paying well below what they used to.
They are low balling the impacted leaders with positions. Once they "offer" the impacted employee a lower pay and that person does not accept the pay they'll lose their severance package...
They'll get mediocre leaders for mediocre pay.
Bad move.
implosion. literally art peck is phoning it in and collecting a paycheck. if EVERY employee from stockroom to CEO can see this, the board is merely paying him to shepherd until death. they have no interest in saving this company. they have no confidence this guy can save the company.

You know what happens once you take you G4/G12 folks - it's a meltdown - they were the pillar of every store - I do not get this move at all.
Maybe they can save some money in the short term, but in the long term this is a kiss of death
