Thread regarding Denbury Resources Inc. layoffs

Have my second interview at Pioneer

Too many in HR with the CPA talking about us making too much. We can't afford to lose even more pay than we already have with our stock and bonus cuts. Pioneer is the same Drive for me and they're not slashing their people or cutting their pay.

i work there. I know exactly what i'm talking about. don't say if someone doesn't have a clue if you don't know who the poster is. I know how many "staff", "senior staff" and "advisors" work there. It's very heavy. And look at their cashflow statement. Compare revenues from continuing operations and their actual spend rates. Look at all the assets over the past 5 yrs they have had to sell in order to keep their spending levels where they are. Look at how they have issued stock 3-4 times in the past 5 years as well. They keep needing more money. I'm not saying their compensation and benefits aren't good. They're great. But they have also been having layoffs every year under the guise of "poor performance". It's not all rosy. Plenty of my friends who are in this high technical levels come late and leave early. Nothing to do. That's a bad sign and with all their good $65+ hedges gone, they're going to have to sell something REALLY big to keep it up...or let go of a lot of people. Best thing going for PXD is their low debt levels. Bankruptcy is not in the cards, but they will have to scale back tremendously in the coming qtrs.

Anyone who can leave is leaving. Greedy CK stealing employee stock & money to give to himself! And his huge executive branch...while we undergo layoffs and the company can't spend any $$$$ to up production or grow! But we can pay higher salaries to executives than ever! And have more VPs and directors than any other independent our size in the industry. Seems criminal? Where are the whistleblowers?

Be careful with PXD. Lots of overpaid advisors over there. They are just now living within $50 oil. Were very well hedged during 2015 and 2016. Hedges have started to roll off during 2017. You'll notice they are not picking up any more rigs and postponed some completions.....it's all about cashflow and they have been systematically overspending their cashflow for the past 4 years. It's about to catch up with them.
