Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

Layoffs next month?

Been hearing rumors at the office about incoming layoffs at Mattel next month, but can't find anything to confirm it or deny it. I should probably just ignore it, but unfortunately, my anxiety says otherwise. I was wondering if anybody here has heard anything about it?

With these stellar results, why would they wait until next month to fire all the no-talent, entitled millennial slackers? HR has itchy fingers and plenty of pink slips ready in Pantone 219C, Barbie's favorite color. Save your Halloween candy, Millennials! You may need it for dinner after next week.

In case you need a translation: $650 million in structural simplification = big time layoffs

Typical Millennial says "Kick Back and enjoy the ride, bay" - which is so true of a lazy generation who will take down companies like Mattel for their crappy work ethic and entitled behavior. Can't wait to see their surprised looks on their faces when they get shown the door.

"What? No trophy for just showing up? I want my mommy! Wha, wha, wha". :)

Count on more than layoffs after today's Q3 results trainwreck. Cancel Christmas.

Stop with the stupid rumors, kick back put your feet on your desk and bask in the glow of working for such an awesome company and in a great culture that strives to boost morale and profit. There will be no layoffs. Those days are over. The old timers and dead weight have been shown the door. Kick back and enjoy the ride baby!

Look, we all need to face the music and the math:

1) We WILL have poor 3rd quarter earnings

2) We WILL blame it on TRU

3) We don't have anything good to salvage the year that makes any money

In the end, it's our financial performance against expectations - the investors think we'll s--- less than last year. We of course know, we're going to be an EPIC s---.

If MattHell history repeats itself, it's not fake news as the biggest layoffs have usually been in Oct.- Nov, but not sure why. Is it because we're going into Q4? I have never been able to figure that out but only time will tell. If our numbers don't improve a layoff will come, soon or later, but it will be the sheep, not the pigs here at Animal Farm.

Hasbro's stock dropped to mid 80's this morning even after a 7% rise in their strong & positive Q3 results due to a possible hit from the TRU bankruptcy for Christmas which makes the market nervous, so this can't bode well for MattHell. If we don't have at least 3 TV Drivers with legs that gain super traction we're done, put a fork in ourselves.

No worries, just another headwind, for the second/third year in a row............the Q3 propaganda/shell game will be professional spun as per usual.
