Good gawd, the number of WD employees posting here lately is crazy. Why don't you just go back to your smashing talks with Toshiba and move on?
Supposedly they don't care. But they will care
(1) if one taste is more expensive than another (HAMR introduces new laser component and MAMR does not)
(2) if one taste expires faster than another (HAMR's heating is notorious for hurting reliability)
(3) if one taste requires a significant change in the way how you taste it (HAMR requires host level rewrite of wear leveling code and MAMR does not)
