Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

HR can be helpful

I am a female Sr. TECH level, Great Eng school for both Grad and Undergrad. Found out I was being paid 40 k less than average male engineers at same level. Plus people on my team are within 1pm of my base, Intel fixed the issue, made it retroactive to 2015 took a while but Murthy signed off on it2015

If what OP posted is true, then I would consider HR helpful if they also fired the managers who allowed such pay discrepancy to happen in the first place.

HR can be helpful, yes very much.

approach HR, and they find that you are a problem you will be next of the layoff list as they know you have been on this site with the 40K less than peers issue :-)

Most ladies will never approach HR or anybody else for salary hike. instead they would spend a few weekends with the manager and get all they want including his d1ck. Stop posting such crap here.

How about new PR post idea for HR that can touch most at Intel hearts: "I am Female g-- Indian, PhD in Music. Ijust got hired to a director position in XDG. I knew I did not have technical skills but HR programs and initiatives, such as team building and career coaching together with my coach were key for my success. I also realize that my comp is above average male g-- engineers."

Isn't that touching story, everybody would relate to it as they did at M.R. last BUM and his story.

HR petting its own back by picking one good deed in too many failed ones.

Desperate move for trying to paint pathetic state and rosy.

Out of school pay should match for school and degree.

But after a few years pay should reflect performance and nothing else.

Really doesn’t matter if you are female, black or Indian rating and ranking should be unbiased and results oriented, but we know that isn’t the case. HR watches very carefully there is no statistical bias independent of the real ranking. Raises and promos must not have favoritism and actually to get more URM and technical females to the higher grades Directors and VPs look hard to find candidates to promo to boost their distributions.

Those who don’t meet are punished, so managers avoid the HR mess and make the distribution more often than not and lion to make the distribution politically correct even if it shouldn’t

Those that are helped know who you are, sad for those that get screwed by the statistics

Murthy does like PhDs plus he is known to be fair if it's rational and you add value. Cool happy xmas.
