When Anthem was wellpoint and they bought the Va Beach Medicaid/Medicaid firm, they did so because that company had many years of consistent profitability and beat the snot out of Anthem/WellPoint at every turn in that market, Then Anthem systematically started destroying that acquisition, and sending IT jobs off shore. Then they started manipulating, at every turn, the Medicaid protective rules about offshoring, THEN they started pushing all of IT into one of four (4) locations, in an effort to "consolidate", even though there is a mounting body of evidence that shows at least IT workers (who are high / specialized knowledge workers) can be just as effective as in house IT. Personally, I quit at that point - ethically, just could not be associated with the firm...

The new CEO has totally killed the culture in this place, it used to be a decent place to work.

Several vice presidents demoted throughout Texas recently mostly on Medicare side.

Employee evaluations urgently requested to complete several weeks before the end of the year and IDPs too.

Received a RIF notice in June. Looks like if you aren’t a regional employee, National OPWs are targeted. I’m thinking this is the first wave perhaps the next is in early 2019. I’m to be leaving, ready for something better.

They are starting to screw any IT employee who does not live in Atlanta.... whole new round of RIFs today. All were employees who did not live in ATL. The positions were strait up eliminated and they were not even given the chance to move .... I hope Tom Milller will pay dearly for the mess he started!

IT jobs are centralized, mostly in Atlanta. However, it’s “Red October and November” as it has been every year I’ve experienced.
