La Box will be another Tivo/ Motorola/ Pace box/ modem , that just rotates out of the warehouse, nothing special. So much fear in the company that no one will admit it to anyone important. So we will all keep playing the circus theme song.
If le box goes bad, all services will be out, so yes it will be a must do.
If La box was going to be implemented why not put it in the largest market with the most revenue. Apparently La box is a ruse since more than 1 million subs left Sfr. This company is nothing more than a bunch of Liars, taking every single dollar every month out this company they will not invest in anything unless there's a payout for them and it cost them little to no cash debt purchases.
From a TSG standpoint this will help alot of people. Most just complain about having dead zones in specific rooms amd since the mini box can be used as a extender, will eliminate alot of those issues. Also will help customers getting faster speeds when using the 5GHz on WiFi.
Also seeing how the SSID and Password is now on the settings screen on the tv they don't need to call and ask. As they are to lazy to login into their account and check or look at the label.
Now granted we will get customers who it will not work out for cause they want to use their own modems, routers but believe will work for about 80% of residential customers.
Also like the feature of rebooting only the modem or router or tv portion instead of hard cycling the whole box.
A few things that I dislike; wish it was a normal 2 Prong Power Cord similar to all our cable boxes, and modems and Not a AC Adapter aka Brick.
Also since has OV in it, if their OV line doesn't work does that mean all TCs will now be MUST DOs?
