Good Afternoon,
I am very pleased to share with you the fantastic news that the acquisition of substantially all of EDMC’s assets by the Dream Center Foundation is nearly complete. This marks a new opportunity for our students to learn in a not-for-profit environment free from the challenges that have faced all of us over the last several years.
Congratulations!
We remain on track to complete the sale of HLC- and Middle States-accredited schools in the next few months.
This is a very significant accomplishment. Many of you had a hand in bringing this transaction to a close. All of you will have roles to play in the success of Dream Center Education Holdings (DCEH). Since I arrived, I’ve been impressed with your dedication and desire to see students succeed. Because of that determination, The Art institutes, South University and Argosy University will continue graduating men and women who will make a difference in our world for years to come. Thanks to all of you.
Remaining EDMC faculty and staff now turn their attention to the important work of educating students at our teachout locations. As EDMC, we will ensure that they have the opportunity to graduate from their chosen programs. We take our commitment to them seriously and will continue providing them with the quality education they have come to expect.
I wish those of you becoming DCEH employees all the best. Your future is bright, and I know you will work to make it as dynamic and meaningful as it can be. Please be mindful of the information and updates that will be coming your way. Transitions such as this are challenging under normal circumstances, and the complexities of our organizational structure make it more so. Be patient, and expect some bumps along the way. If you think you may have missed any announcements, visit the EDMC-DCEH Transition Announcement Archives. You will find them all there.
As always, I thank you for everything you have done and will continue to do for our students.
Best regards,
Mark McEachen
EDMC President and CEO
