Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

December layoffs at Allscripts

I keep hearing rumors about another round of layoffs coming in December, but can't get any concrete info on it. Does anybody know more about this? Is there any truth to the rumor, or are people just throwing dates around? I keep wondering if there will ever again come a time we'll be able to relax, and not worry if we'll have a job come next day/week/month.

In November, a VP on the TouchWorks team whispered that the December layoffs will be put off until January or February. He has always been spot on with accuracy of rumors in the past.

Are you talking about end of the month or first of next month as speculation or from an inside source?

They happened Wednesday. One hundred thirty of the Nannt Health guys and gals in Florida and Texas were asked to join a conference call, everyone was put on mute, and that was that. pack your stuff, leave the office, you know longer have a job.

There are about 30 remaining.

The way they pulled this one off was completely disgusting and makes me seriously question the leadership responsible. I would blame HR but we don't have HR -- might as well outsource them and pay by the hour. This, was the CTO's style of leadership, but of course he has a golden parachute when the walk him out the door

Considering they are losing a client a day, its not out of the realm of possibility

I was laid off in August. I heard the same rumor...more layoffs in Dec.

Check the financial records and you'll see they lost $150 million in Q2 2017. http://investor.allscripts.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=112727&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=2291700.

I was there, in the Raleigh office for almost 2 years and i can say without a doubt that the products are sub-par and generic. There is nothing cutting edge about them. If you compare their stock price with their biggest competitors, you will see that many agree.

EIS and Allscripts seem to be perfect for each other. Both companies celebrate clueless management, disappointing products, H1B/Outsourcing abuse and constant layoffs.

Two sh--ty tastes, better together!

I have no info either, but since they just merged McKesson EIS I'm sure there are lots of synergies to be realized.

To the person that said there were 'large scale layoffs' in December, what is your source and do you know details?

I don't have a concrete information. I keep hearing rumors as well. However, how hard they try customers wont be happy. Products are turning into junk.
