@1ssf keep dreaming. Sears has been on a path of irrelevance since the late 1980's. Eddie just took that turd and mashed it together with the recently-out-of-bankruptcy Kmart and delayed the inevitable a few years.

“ I have never "blamed" Mr. Lampert for the state we are in now. It is a result of years of issues.”

Eddie IS the issue!! He alone makes the decisions and that is passed down through the many layers of management

If he were truly popcorn he would start his name with a capital letter, as in Popcorn. Everybody else does. FAKE!!!

Only a moronic idiot would think to give themselves the name popcorn. I think "cheeto" has a nice ring to it, and connotes class and intelligence as well, especially to this motley audience.

With all the outstanding loans, underfunded pensions I don’t think there is hope for sear/Kmart

I would hope that people don't think this charade will go on forever. This has been a slow, well telegraphed process over the last 4 or 5 years. The well thought out chess moves have proved witting. This process will be an excellent case study for universities for years to come. Laws should be changed because of what has happened with Sears. I sure hope Sears USA turns out better than Sears Canada. I think the Canadians lost their pensions and got no severance. I do feel that Sears USA has some safeguards and the PBGC to pick up some slack. Time will tell.

Remember this date people. That way when February 2018 comes along you can stop being so gullible. Unlike the last 3-4 times.

Reminds me of the movie, Sparticus. "I am Sparticus", "No, I am Sparticus!" For those under 40, buy the DVD. Great movie.

I don't think anyone is "holding onto hope." I simply said no reason to try to "scare" people. No one knows when they work for someone else what the company's intentions are. No one knows from day to day even with a well run company if they are going to have a job or not. We are all disposable in a corporate world....in a well run or not well run company....SO no need to try to "scare" people anymore than they should be in a corporate world. It just is what it is. Funny thing is I have never "blamed" Mr. Lampert for the state we are in now. It is a result of years of issues.

What a shame that so many associates are still holding out hope on this turd instead of getting off their butts and moving on.

At this point they should announce the actual start of the open to the public liquidation, it is likely the suppliers will stop sending product to sears knowing they will not get paid. The stores will have even more empty shelves and less customers. Sears stock is down to $6.27 already today and is said to drop lower.

Confirmed by whom? Why believe statements with no sources, no back-up? Anybody can predict anything they want on here with no proof whatsoever.

I would not be surprised at all man Sears Canada filing. I am sure the suppliers at this point should should now think twice at this point. Its hella scary man so this is probably it guess the long run is finally over.
