Yet more passive wait and see business strategy.... what is so hard about taking an industry lead?
Bob Ulrich must be livid at how bad this company is being run. The current CEO should just admit the C level has no original ideas.

I’m inside, although not on the TTS side. I do now truly see some movement towards positivity both in results and the work environment. I don’t think target’s position is to go head to head with Amazon at alll. I was here during Bob’s days and sat through many of his speeches about retail, for whatever it’s worth he always acknowledged Wal-Mart as the big dog, and clearly stated we’d never “out Wal-Mart Wal-Mart. Our path was different style option Wal-Mart couldn’t deliver and then capture the shopper and sell with our environment. It’s sctually starting to feel a lot like that again.

I work in the DC and for years they told us the big problem is out of stocks at the stores. Their solution now is to start shipping less quantities to the stores because the back rooms are over filled. I don't have a fancy degree so maybe I'm wrong but wouldn't that just make out of stocks even more frequent?
Hey, that is very unfair to current C suite. They spent enormous amount of time figuring out how to keep paper towels in stock. Of course they failed, but efort was worth the millions in salary. We can all agree to that. Sell a paper towel, ship a paper towel...#Fail.
