What were the severance packages like? McKesson always gave a fair package, but I hadn't heard anything regarding Change Healthcare.

That is not true. I returned to McK from the change RIF and I kept my service time. I returned in August.
Let me correct that. Going forward from the May layoff you can only return to McK or Change as a new employee. They will tell you that they give you preference but totally not true. I at least got a call from HR recruiter when i applied and did not identify as a former employee
In May, it was still the McK package for those from McK. Going forward, it may differ. Also after December, you can only return to McK as a new employee and you do not bring service years or benefits (told this by HR) and no preference given in posting.
