Checkpoint / trta / knowledgesolutions has not had layoffs yet. We have been augmented with developers in epam though! Tech Mahindra may come knocking soon. Rumor is 500 outsourced to Tech Mahindra in EAGAN, MN.
At this point they execs are not even ashamed about sending jobs overseas - it's really bad way of managing things. We all know how things will end up. The quality will drop immediately, there will be confusion, cultural issues etc.
It's the only way to squeeze a profit out of an organisation that has lost the way of growing the business. I was a Reuters employee when Thomson bought Reuters. It went from being a great place to work to being unenjoyable and difficult. The Eagan management were blinkered and inexperienced of the scale of some of the systems that the organisation had - they made some bad decisions along the way ....
Outsourcing to Tech Mahindra has begun in NYC , Bangalore and Eagan . Several hundreds of employees were moved to Tech Mahindra same time last year and it's happening again this year . Developers and QA are being outsourced. This is happening across products in ET&O to cut costs and reduce full time employee headcount. With poor business growth outsourcing will continue in the near term.
