California Wildfire Claims A Kmart

An excerpt from an article about the wildfire in California.

Coffey Park, a 1980s-era subdivision just northwest of downtown Santa Rosa where 7,000 people lived, was leveled. Most of the homes burned, along with a Kmart, a McDonald’s, an Arby’s and an Applebee’s.

wnx - Very few (if any) Kmarts are still operational in Texas, I think the last ones are (or were) all in the far south of the state down towards Mexico, where Harvey didn't reach.

Sears is self insured , meaning they will get no recovery from this loss.

Google already lists it as permanently closed.

How many Kmarts have been taken out by natural disasters in the last few weeks? Couple in the VI and this one. Any in Florida and Texas?

Those poor employees.. prayers to them and all in the California wildfires. Very sad

Would the eligible ones get any severance I wonder? We know fast Eddie won’t be rebuilding that store

That’s so sad

Eddie will profit from this one as well. The fire just took care of the inevitable and saved people from being laid off.
