That is the federal WARN. The NY WARN is different and more stringent.

I think that number can be pretty substantial depending on the size of the site. It looks like there is an exception:

"If 50 to 499 workers lose their jobs and that number is less than 33 percent of the employer’s total, active workforce at a single employment site"

Warn notice would not need to be issued.... If you believe Wikipedia.

Unless they do like Greenville and go just below the number for the warn list so they won't have to issue it..shady people

They’ve been doing that in Schenectady for the last 30 years.. nothing new to us. You go in the door, you go out the door, you go in the door.. never ending merry go round

I heard its corporate and HR types are slowly being let go. There hasn't been a WARN notice from state of NY so nothing eminent at this point. Good Luck
