Can't Manage the MI Program

The MI program at CVS is a knee jerk reaction by LP management that don't know what they are doing. They will say that they save payroll dollars, but the company will see shrink increase. Managers who step in to fill the MI void will be hurt as they are untrained in apprehensions. So safety claims will go up as well. If only the new VP and her corporate / no experience outside of CVS / "we've always done it that way" puppets had a clue. Everyone who could have saved that program were never set up to win and many of the people who do get let go from CVS do so because they aren't "yes men". The company culture needs to change and an LP professional not only needs to be hired to lead, but allowed to lead. Until that happens, CVS Loss Prevention program is a joke and being associated with that joke hurts current employees chances of working elsewhere. Shameful.

just 1 loss prevention in your store on a daily basis, saves triple of what CVS is paying them...just by walking the store and there presence is known...

I want to start off by saying I have the utmost respect for the CVS, however,I think it was just a c---y guy that went off on a rampage and we should not be held accountable for his actions and anything else that had occurred should have been dealt with at the store level and that person should have been fired and held accountable for the whole matter ,but he took upon himself , but getting rid of all of your loss prevention Personnel is just pure unprofessional and if they think that was a lawsuit get ready for when store managers and uneducated and unexperienced Personnel from your stores start accusing people of thefts and calling the police and then False arrest are going to be out of control... and the police are not even going to want to respond to the stores ,because they're going to know there's no loss prevention Personnel so they're not going to trust what they hear from the store associate just like we didn't...

ps, if a police department did this for every time something happens that they're held accountable ,does that mean they shut down the police department ,or do they retrain and make different policies and procedures..
