Thread regarding PNC layoffs

PNC Employee Displacement

PNC, like all companies in the world, are always looking for ways to make the customer experience better while more efficient.

The difference is that PNC gives those employees displaced during the process a choice of relocating to another department with equal or greater pay or a healthy severance package.

PNC cares about their employees!!!

PNC is all about lies and more lies. I can see them going down soon. People in leadership are questionable they don’t care of their own. I’m glad I left when I did.

I was off work today and found out after a co worker sent me a text telling me it was nice working with me and that he wishes me the best. Yep not even a phone call. Almost 20 years with this place and not even a phone call.

Prayers to all those affected by the layoffs today. You can calculate your severance on Pathfinder under Displacement Process and Assistance. It has a chart where you can lookup your years of service and career level and find out how many weeks of severance pay you will get.

They did not give an option and they DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR EMPLOYEE!! If so they would not have laid off 3000 employees!! Because they are getting sued by other companies!! And LIES about it being about customer service!!! How do you let go of an entire section of security!!?? What’s that got to do with customer service!!!! They destroyed families today!!! That’s what PNC did! Just before winter!!!!
Just when kids started school! They are letting go of the wrong people !!!!! ~ Seriously a heartbroken wife and mother

Does anyone know what pnc will say during a reference check if they terminated you?

I was terminated on the basis of my color and it was horrible, i used to be harrased, yelled at and always put down and i couldnt speak my heart ,
without any mail or any message or any corrective action, i was just told to give my keys and leave.
when asked for the reason, there was no reason given to me,
now i am left jobless and hopeless

I was also displaced after working For National City/PNC for 13 years. I was a licensed banker, then branch manager. I had never been on any type of corrective action in my tenure with PNC, and my reviews were always above expectations. They closed my branch, and offered no assistance in helping me find a new job within the company. I had to be “evaluated” against another manager who had only been with the company two years, oh- and who just happened to friends with my regional manager outside of work. she had multiple HR violations against her, and treated her employees terribly. All I can say is what goes around comes around, and karma does exist!!!

That’s total bs. The assistance offered is minimum to none. Your doing most of the work posting for jobs and going on interviews . There are no minority hiring managers and I only came across one minority recruiter. Taking care of displaced employees doesn’t seem to be a priority to fix. The only positive treatment is that they review your resume first. I been in over close to 9 interviews but no offers and my feedback was that I did well in the interview that’s it? Being an employee and first time going through this has left me losing faith in the company I work for so many years. Also, no one talks to you once your on the displace list.No Support what so ever. I would not even put this on my enemy!

PNC doesn't care about the employee's I know that has been harrassed for 3 years. Then he sued and got the manager fired

After 22 years with the bank, PNC started closing branches around my branch. They were merging another branch with my branch and told my employees that they should get a job elsewhere. I was the branch manager. Suddenly, just before the merge, I was called in an investigated over gossip in the branch. They took my keys and told me later I was not forthcoming and terminated my employment. Very cold business. They left me flat without a job. The firing practices should be investigated and people severed for unusual reasons without any previous warnings, should receive severance compensation.

You are just a number, no one is appreciated, I personally had horrible bosses. In fact manager was not even in the same location we were managed by a team leader, who was a really horrible person. But as they say KARMA is real

Pnc Bank is a terrible place to work. I worked there for eleven years and all they're about is money. They take money from their employees and their customers. They charge customers $5 for money orders, $10 for cashier's checks and charge non-customers $10 to cash a Pnc checks. As for employees we get money when we talk a customer into opening a checking account, credit card, loans etc. Well I should say we are suppose to receive money, however we usually do not get this money. Pnc has a lot of rules and reasons why you for not get money you are owed. In my case they took money from me that was not theirs to take. Pnc Bank is not a bank you want to invest money in. On second thought invest it, if you want to have your money stolen from you. Take my advice, do not work here, or put money in this bank. Instead run away from Pnc and take your money somewhere safe.

I was displaced four years ago, while working with a visible disability, we were allowed to apply for other positions, but there were NO transfers or assistance. Also you are forced to sign a separation agreement in order to collect severance. PNC does not care about their employees, unless you know someone in a higher position. 😊
