The list has been compiled and being distributed to upper management. My source in HR tells me it will be much bigger than last one.

They are going to drop the axe early October bc they have a heart and want to give those affected a chance before the holidays. Severance or not; it’s going to be a tough Xmas.

Guess I won’t be ordering the new iPhone afterall.

Execs think moving the chess pieces around is something innovative and new. Re-orgs just make them look "busy doing something" removing a few VP layers might save some bucks but where are the new products? Maintenance mode and lean development coming. I smell mass layoffs in the future quarters. That internal announcement slide deck was "hoodwink" speak for the board.

Last layoff got 30 days notice and 1 week severance per year of service. The 2016 layoff people got 2 weeks per year. This company is crap if they decide no severence, wow.

What does WARN do and why does Sabre try to avoid it?

Any rooms abnormally booked up yet? I saw a few long time blocks normal or not?

Hmmm, maybe it's not a layoff on the 9th, but what about a sale?

I doubt the timing of Oct 9 too due to Warn. My guess is offload a couple thousand in DFW by Dec 31 and have another "mega hiring event" in BLR. If you notice all leaders are a certain nationality promoting low cost centers as the way to go. Kickbacks from Wipro, Infosys etc I am sure under the table coming their way. The resume inflators/cheaters are strong in that area.

Not sure how they would manage another big layoff in October as that would put them over the WARN levels, at least in Southlake. Haven't heard what folks laid off in latest round got for severance?

Leaders are gathering just for fun... Talk all big... But nothing on ground... I know my so called leader from AS travelled to dfw almost 4times this year from mvd..... And few trips to blr and krk office wasting around $60k budget... the result is 0.

I just wish his name should be there in upcoming list... His main agenda for travel is to do shopping in dfw and get back home.... This idiot is fit for nothing

I heard leaders are gathering in DFW to decide "next steps" to be taken in order to stall The Titanic, probably still so secret that not even The Bilderberg meeting would beat it...

Under the Texas Payday Law, severance pay is not owed unless it is promised in a written policy. DFW employees will be impacted most...

If this is true and there is no severence this is a sad state of affars. Could be a rough 18-24.

Is it some CEO's/board game plan to sell the company off .get his/there share(s) and join new org?

If no severance pay then it will be a disaster. :(

With no severance package then the only competent people keeping Sabre barely afloat will quit within weeks.

Those people will quit as soon as they can because they will wish to do so on their timetable in order to avoid the inconvenience of being laid off unexpectedly when it's not convenient. As people start to quit then even more people will start looking for new jobs elsewhere, anyone competent will leave within 6 weeks and then Sabre will only be left with those too incompetent to find jobs elsewhere. Those people will also be too incompetent to keep Sabre running.

If the lay off without severance is on October 9th then by Sabre will be unable to function by mid-November. Customers will start to realize that Sabre is no longer a viable GDS by mid-December as outages spiral completely out of control. The stock price will crash to penny stock levels. Sabre will be bought and its assets liquidated, perhaps even before the end of the year.

If severance really is being eliminated then goodbye Sabre, it's done. I don't believe management or the board would be that stupid though.

Even with the severance, the best people are already leaving.

How do you know there will not be a severance package?

If it is true that the next lay off will not include severance then Sabre is finished.
