Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Password Review

I just got an email from "IBM IT" (IBM logo and all) in my internal IBM email that said I needed to click the link below so that IT can test whether my password is sufficiently strong. Ok, well that would be pretty dumb. If this is from someone outside IBM, they are about to gather up a TON of IBM intranet userid/passwords and probably use that to hack the hell out of IBM and customers.

However, knowing IBM, this is a "test" sent by the monstrous monsters that run this company in order to forumlate an excuse to fire people without any package, prior to another big RA of course.

IBM routinely sends out phishing emails to employees to test their awareness and sensitivity to this kind of easy exploit.

IBM oversells the capabilities of Watson and then wants millions. They can't even figure out how to use the technology on their own and they get it for next to nothing.

Why would anyone click that link? I don't tell my passwords to anyone nor would I enter them into some IBM tool. The password complexity rules are already setup on your workstations and w3 has their own set. That email is a fake

This has to be safe to click. They have Watson protecting them and if it was a threat surely it would have caught it and alerted the right people or just fixed it automagically.

That's a phishing test done by the IBM SEC group. If clicked you'll be sh--listed and will have to take a gruesome 45 min long CBT (trains on security, etc...)
