Dell can layoff 50% in NDC, MDC and Hopkinton and still have enough people with not enough work for 8 hours a day. But Dell is doing nothing, so something is not right.

I am in Asia, and the dead woods here have roots as deep as the Mariana trench. They'll trick the dumb global idiots (who are dead wood themselves but manages to be part of the inner crowd) about their inflated worth and will stay in power forever while cashing out their usd 100k per annum salary and showing off to the people who actually do the work but with self confidence of an abused goat, too timid to the point of being stupid enough to not leave for better opportunity.
The dead wood is getting RIF'd every day. It's just taking longer than expected. Great times are ahead.
It is beyond me to understand with what revenue EMC is planning to support these more than 40 thousand employees it has on its payroll. In the last 3 years I am working for much smaller software companies and can tell you one thing - not a single small company is looking to buy storage array at all. It seems that only some bank keep buying those arrays so EMC and the likes (Pure Storage, NTAP, Infinidat) are really niche players which cater to the very specific needs and use cases of some banks. But then how can one of them support 40K+ employees when very few companies show any interest at all in its main product..
EMC side have many silos Example, vmax, unity, Data domain , software div, VCE, Isilon, IP Celerra, cantera, Recoverpoint, IO XtremIO, and DELL side is the same... New DELL -EMC structure has many many Sales and SE managers - most Doers have left and only useless dead wood remain with EMC side with 17+ years service and Dell 20 years service.
Why there is not enough news and media coverage on this. Bad DELL EMC storage employees who are managers favorites still have jobs and they are having fun with free corporate money.
Trumph administration should take a deep look in to this.
