This is getting out of hand. They are telling every ADA at my old school that they have to each get 3 students to start in August. They are telling them the entire deal with Dream Center depends on admissions making their numbers. All these new strategies are being rolled out to ensure any student who submits an application starts school, yet zero help is being offered to the existing students who are struggling to survive in a school that has cut all the resources for them.
Seriously, where are the accreditors? If they made a surprise visit to this campus they would see a school running with no tech support (laid off,) hardly any full time faculty (who teach upwards of 8 classes each,) computers that can't run the software needed because they haven't been upgraded in 5 years, and leadership that takes all their marching orders from regional managers (GVP's.) Accreditors, make a site visit and interview some students and staff, it's gotten so bad.
If someone wants to shut this whole thing down, wear a wire and go in for an admissions interview, say you are thinking about starting school really soon. Maybe even submit an application and then record the conversation with the admissions manager when you attempt to cancel your application. Ever hear one of those Comcast customer service calls? It's getting really bad. The AG settlement was supposed to improve recruiting processes, every indication is looking like that's all out the window. These recruiting practices are what got EDMC into this mess and it looks like they will ultimately be what does them in.
