Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

Don't believe Seagate's management

Don't believe anything management tells you. If any of the things management said were true we would be outperforming WD and Samsung combined. Our portfolio of media storage would be knocking our competitors into submission. We would be hiring 100's of new highly skilled workers instead of laying them off and the tools in our fab plants would not be two generations behind and constantly grinding to a halt. Evan HAMR is starting to resemble the lost city of Atlantis. We are told it's out there somewhere but nobody quite knows where it is or when we'll see it.

So much this, @OwIjvnn-1boi. Management is trained to dismiss the negatives and make overblown claims about (ill)perceived successes. Their statements are completely unreliable, especially in situations such as the one we are in right now.

Management said, "Our future is fine. We have good product plan." That was lying. Management was prepare site closing. That was very meticulous job. They gave secret offer for some employees and divide employees. Many employees lose a job. But, nobody take a responsibility for that situation. Where is ethics?

I stopped going to the corporate shows 5 years ago when I decided they were basically scam artists out for a buck. Glad to see you all finally waking up after all these years of drinking the kool-aid and falling for this sh--. If you thought this was a great run company all this time until suddenly now you need to return your college diplomas because you have been an idiot who fell for an easy con job.

Totally agree. Managements are not responsible for their decision mistakes. They are coward.
