If you truly feel it's BS, why are you even on this site? Just curious...
I'm pumped for ice cream on Thursday. Also, BS on the layoff rumors...
BS. No boss would admit it when asked.
Did you boss say when?
Its happening. Confronted my boss. No details, but its a layoff and its big. Said the "other stuff" thats going to change will be worse.
Project Wildcat; coming to an office near you, 200+ Employees
Did you hear about the ice cream social on Thursday in the café (It's on the menu)? Its rumored that's a goodbye party for the café. Will be announced at Thursday's meet town hall meeting?
So, you would rather keep the café instead of saving people's job?
CIO should go but he is best friends with the CFO so that won't happen.
Bet we culd keep our cafe if accounting gets hit like they should with the layoff this month. Not as if we have money to be counting.
Hey CIO maybe you could downsize your mega department of 158.
I can't find an invoice or see production without 2 calls and 3 excuses and you have a whole floor.
Will you tell us before you wack us or not this time? SURPRISE! The new CEO thinks you're no good (but the old one thought you were great) or in a week some of you (guess who? nope. not gonna tell you) are fired. Enjoy the ulcer, no sleep and no work getting done.
I got a few people in mind that should go but, it will never happen. They yes men and we all know those are the people that keep their jobs around here.
The Thursday townhall should be interesting
Just do it already! The waiting is making us all crazy
Looking like Wednesday will be the day. Just wondering what the severance package will look like.
Deciding if they'll do HR first.
I believe the warn act only applies to workers at a single location. So a notice would only need to give notice if it was more than 500 people company wide or more than 33% at any single location. Even in that case, if they are paying out severance for those 60 days it's a moot point. That being said there is definitley something in the works and expected very soon.
33% would be over 300 people. It could still be sizeable and under 33%. No notice needed.
Did anyone say it would be 33%? Or did I miss something?
I call B.S. And even if there is some layoffs, it won't be more than 33% of the company because Denbury never issued the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN). If it was more than 33% of the company, they are required by law to give us at least a 60 day notice of the impending layoffs.
How big do you expect it to be?
How reliable is this info?
And you know this how? And if it's more than a rumor, why the "OR"?
