The writing is on the wall for all of us at Seagate - if you live in a high cost location you will at some point be eliminated. It's so obvious that they want to aggressively reduce costs and folks in China, Malaysia and India are so much cheaper it's not even funny - in some cases they cost about 10% of what they pay us here on the West coast.
They will continue to drive this and will continue to load teams with contractors where they have more hire/fire flexibility (even though they may sometimes be less expensive) - so, get ready Seagate ...
