Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

That did not take long - more layoffs

This was truly quick. Seagate's first response to quarterly results is to announce additional restructuring to cut costs, which means it will be cutting 600 additional workers. pretty sure they will not stop at that number, but that's what we have for now.

I sure hope that they RIF enough people to be able to pay for some Executives to have a nice party in February in Hawaii for "Technical Achievements." They are the real heroes in all of this. Try to keep that in mind.

There is life after Seagate. I was let go in 2002 and have been gainfully employed these 15 years. Plenty of good jobs for Engineers and good workers.

Mosley is one of the good ol boys. The board should fire him and bring in an outsider. Fortunately I sold all my stock about the time Luczo did @$49+.

Keeping Shakopee and Longmont both for enterprise design centers does not make sense. Let's see if new CEO have the guts to make right decision. However, I don't recall Mosley has made any decision that convinces me he has vision. Kudos for the rumors Mosley is CEO.
