Target is currently undergoing a thinning out of staff by "managing out" many team members. People with good annual reviews (or if the "managing out" period started before review time horrible but unrealistic reviews) suddenly under fire. Made up issues and given no win situations. Is this even legal? Certainly much cheaper than laying people off.

correction to last post; respond to futureunsure@gmail.com re age discrim, the plan, the list etc. leading to resignation, layoff etc.
I would like to talk to anyone to discuss age discrimination, the "plan", the "list" at Target that results in resignation, retirement or layoff. This has personally touched my family and I am reaching out to anyone to understand the corporate world at Target. Has this impacted you, are you worried for your job, your coworker's job? I am not a troll and outsider or any other name some may think to call me. I am trying to understand the corporate world at Tgt and the devastation left for my family. If you can't offer me information or just want to bash me please don't respond. I cry enough tears. Thank you.

I'm aware of several people currently undergoing this process and several more who have left the company because of it. All people with over 15 years experience and have always been very stable employees with good reviews. No packages being offered. Just quit or we'll fire you.
I left at the end of Feb. 2017 when I started to feel the "managing out" pressure. Luckily found a position that fit me better. Very hard to fight against it once upper management tags you to be out. I was there for almost 12 years and spent the last 2 in EDABI (which was not an enjoyable experience). All of a sudden my previous reviews and work experience meant nothing. Glad I moved out, but did not enjoy the way it had to happen. Good luck to everyone.
I'll make it so painful to manage me out, they'll wish they had just laid me off.
