simple they are trying to fool the government (the so called business friendly government run by our beloved modijee).
Layoff means losing tax benefits, and getting bad name in stock market and admitting business has slowed down , so deliberately victimize employees and make them resign .
Claim that we have lot o unfilled positions for new technologies (in reality they will not have single project on new tech). Crow about skill gap etc and blame colleges and universities..
If they really need those IOT and AI skill they must be hiring big time in Germany USA and Europe, which is not happening.
