Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

How will 7560 cancellation affect iCDG?

It is no longer a question of "if" but just a matter of "when" and "how" 7560 will he cancelled, because we have no realistic avenue towards getting it done in time for the customer.

So how will it affect 7560? Site closures? Or across-the-board layoffs? Or will that be the end of iCDG altogether?

LOL! If Intel really threatens to close Nuremberg site, the works council will do nothing - as usual. They are like a toothless dog - all bark and no bite whatsoever. I have more complaints about our works council than our management, and our management is already quite incompetent.

That rumour must be fake, because they cannot move the Munich people to Nuremberg. I was involved in discussions about moving a team from MUC to NUE about five years ago, and that idea died very quickly. Salaries are significantly higher in Munich due to higher cost of living, but the works council wouldn't allow salary cuts as part of a site move. And they can't have people in Nuremberg who earn 30% more than others for the same work. So no, not gonna happen.

Sadly, if a site is closed, Nuremberg is first on the chopping block.

@ehy. There are more ex-Infineon than ex-Qualcomm losers in iCDG.

Cancel existing platform, and create new platform to continue loss money, miss the target again and again. Fool the investors and share holders? What a game !

i already see critical people moving to 7660 that should be staying on 7560 if intel were serious about actually finishing that platform. it's a dead platform walking at this point.
