Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Maybe...

Maybe if they stopped wasting money - that would help! Flying managers and non- managers all over the place to meet with coworkers - when in all honesty - video chat while not as personable is a whole lot cheaper and works!! Just saying.

Move to other orgs, sustaining and support and keep your job. How is it possible in NDC from QA.

Everyone who steals MD money should be held accountable.

I love Dell and I will do the right thing.

T&E doesn't cost as much as keeping your expensive director a-- around. Maybe Dell should just fire your a--.

All good and no layoffs in NDC, from Kishore Asarpota.

From getting rejected in interview, from manipulation of resume, fake resume to fooling manager during interview for job, from saying he knows Paul K (which is a lie) from QA II to principle QA and then lead QA, from not working on any project for years by saying his mom is sick, from renting his Nashua apartments to developers and getting good reviews, from joining tennis court to make friendship with developers, from being insider and bag man to upper management, from going to BDC on official trip and take them from drinks, from staying in Leela palace and making trips to Mumbai and Dubai and getting everything reimbursed, from taking 2 hours of lunch break everyday, from working from home at will, and taking managers, directors and project managers to drinks. Entertaining BDC visitors to apple store in Pheasant Lane Mall and buy them stuff...take them to RI strip clubs...buying them scotch and spending time in their hotels in Nashua exit 8.

With 6 silver awards doing nothing. Someone did NDR setup and he got award, someone filed a big group bug and he added his name in Jira and he got another award, for claiming to work with support team during Christmas forced shutdown and he never showed up to work that week but he still got award and many other unethical things for which he got awards. How does this happen in corporate companies.

I got a silver award and never got one as he said there is no budget...

Every Dell Emc employees, please do learn on how to play politics, how to hang out with right management, spend money and bribe them and in return get 25K in LTI’s, bonuses, pay hikes, promotions and how to save your jobs.

BDC management already got the MRES management in Hopkinton in their pockets. You see Dell wants this percentage of high cost country jobs to low cost countries. BDC is here to help. The BDC director is good in convincing people. You can't fool people all the time but who needs it if you find new scapegoats. No stopping the strip tease joints and single malts.

Not everyone is so privileged, only managers favorites were picked for these India trips. Of course we all know about certain NDC Nashua managers :-)

Here is the real stuff. Before we travel we ask BDC guys what they want, in most cases small electronics or perfume or scotch bottles. We travel on weekdays, hope some of you know that we lose a day going from US to India due to time zones. So we land on Thursday or Friday and instead of going to BDC office we say jet lag and relax/drink in Leela Palace. Now comes the weekend and we travel or go sightseeing. On Monday we show our face, schedule few meetings and take BDC guys for lunch or dinner. Send few emails to NDC managers/directors that trip is very productive and held good training sessions. Then disappear without checking out hotel, of course it's company money, to various parts of India. Some pleasure trip and some family visits with in India like Mumbai for few days. Now come back to the hotel, remember* we never checked out the hotel.

Same routine and travel for another week and then fly back on weekdays to US. Worst part is some take breaks in Dubai and spend most time in traveling across India and get reimbursed for the whole trip with out proper bills.

I am not saying everyone from NDC did this, but we all know who they are.

This is happening from mid 2013 when we started transitioning EqualLogic to BDC. Some many visits from Nashua to BDC and BDC to Nashua. We made a fool of company.

At the same time Dell is busy in buying EMC and we sat for 3 years with no work and free paycheck. What is mentioned in this thread is nothing compared to very unethical things that really happened.

It's uncertainty, transition and crack in the Dell system, unfortunately it still not fixed yet.

The moot question is will Hopkinton sponsor the strip tease outings for our Indian visitors.

it is obvious both BDC and NDC management teams had fun last three years. It was party time with no accountability. The uncertainty and change because of merger helped. Now both teams planning same strategy with Hopkinton leadership. Hopkinton leadership also full of b---s---ters and free loaders. We need to see how long the Cyclone juggernaut lasts. From a pure engineering management POV Cyclone is a directionless chaos which is worsening day my day.

Same thing in NDC for the past 8 years. My manager got rid of best talent and kept those who are insiders and got hired from friends references, my manager gives pay hikes and high bonuses to only favorites and they are always safe from layoffs even though with no contribution to projects. So many complaints to US Dell HR & Ethics but no action has been taken.

Ethics group in Dell India is unlike how it is in other places. There were two directors in BDC storage caught red handed threatening teams and showing favoritism to their close family friends. No action was taken against them except small warning. They are back to their old ways harassing people. They now claim they have full support from Hopkinton leadership. I feel sorry for the really hardworking people in Dell BDC storage. One thingI suggest is to take up their case with US hr and ethics.

But heard NDC did not pay for the private lap dance sessions. BDC visitors pissed off. They switch loyalty to Hopkinton cyclone team hoping to get same treatment.

I have all the details and lot more and Dell is more then welcome to contact me.

Simple return on investment, take 5 guys from Bangalore to lunch, shopping, New Hampshire liquor store, strip clubs in RI etc.....Max we might spend is 1000 to 2000 dollars. Those guys will give great feedback to managers project/program managers and directors in NDC/Hopkinton.

Now job is safe, we get 25,000 per year in pay hikes/bonuses/LTI's.

We are doing this for a long time. Who are we making fool here again ?

recently lot of folks from Bangalore come for holiday to hopkinton.. They sit in conference rooms..meet people without any agenda.. generally have fun. They huddle with each other gossiping. they talk mainly on low cost resources..always hoping that they benefit from layoff in US even though they don't have any good technical skills. It's highbrow travel is scrutinized. Understand people work in low cost and bring some savings for low end jobs. That doesn't mean they just can blow up money on travel.

My Director fits the bill... he travels even without any agenda or coworkers to meet. Travel abuse starts first with wasting countless hours in office on deciding on the seats to pick. Then comes shopping list. He will never take direct flight instead prefers to take a hop which of course is home town. Trip plan includes which lounges to use, drink. I hope one day someone will take this to Ethics, I admit of not having balls.
